A typical cause of lower back pain:  Lower back pain caused by rounded upper back
Example of kyphosis or beginning of "humpback" causing tight lower back muscles. Although the patient was initially complaining of lower back pain, osteopathic examination found that the exagerated curvature of his thoracic spine was causing tension on the lower back.
